Mission Statement

The mission of AAME is to build alliances among the healthcare industry and universities, medical associations, and independent foundations in order to advance disease management through independent medical education initiatives to healthcare providers.

About Us

Academic Alliances in Medical Education Inc (formerly known as Current Medical Directions) has been developing independent medical education since 1990. AAME is currently owned by Independent Medical Education Inc, a WPP Group US Company. AAME is a recognized and well-established provider of independent medical education services and is a member of the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education, the Global Alliance for Medical Education, and the North American Association of Medical Education and Communication Companies Inc.

Based on proven instructional design methodologies, AAME believes that quality independent medical education incorporates the following elements:

Ensuring Compliance

AAME ensures strict adherence to all industry guidelines including ACCME, AMA, OIG, and PhRMA through development of internal compliance policies and procedures, establishment of code of ethics and training of staff. These guidelines are updated based on changes in the industry

We attend Alliance, AMA Task Force and ACCME conferences to ensure that we are up-to-date on policies and guidelines.
